You can file a feature request in the issue tracker to get it on the radar of the core developers and if they implement your feature request, the new behavior will get included in a future release of NeoOffice: The invert pixels operation is deeply embedded in NeoOffice's underlying code and, unfortunately, our very limited funding and developer resources limits the current scope of the NeoOffice project to keeping a native version of running on Mac OS X and expanding 's features is outside that scope. This operation is done on each pixel in the cursor area so that inverting a white background draws as black, inverting a blue background draws as yellow, etc. The invert pixels operation works by taking whatever color is already on the screen, calculating its inverted color, and then drawing the inverted color. ![]() Instead, NeoOffice's underlying code draws the cursor by invoking a drawing operation called "invert pixels" within the cursor's area on the screen. The text cursor in NeoOffice is not drawn by drawing a black rectangle. I have badd news: implementing this feature is not easy at all.
